BUNDLE - Doris Skirt Kids & Adult PDF Sewing Pattern

This is a bundle for both the Doris skirt for adults and kids.

The Doris skirt is a fun and flirty skirt with a high-waisted cross-over waistband & diagonal side seam. It's an incredible easy sew and a year round wardrobe staple! The Doris skirt is designed to be pulled on over the hips, with a comfortably body hugging fit. The pattern comes with a basic front and optional pockets and back yoke. 

Techniques involved include sewing with knits, straight & curved seams, attaching ribbing, sewing corners and optionally working with decorative (piping) tape.

KIDS VERSION:
The Doris Kids skirt comes in an above knee length, either hemmed or finished with a bottom band. The skirt is easily adjusted in length by following the lengthening & shortening instructions provided in the tutorial. The kids version does not come in a midi length.

ADULT VERSION:
The Doris Adult skirt comes in 3 lengths - a short & knee length skirt with a straight fit and a midi length skirt with a pencil skirt fit. The midi pencil skirt has inwards tapering side seams, creating a flattering look for all shapes and sizes! We've added an optional "walking vent" in the center back for more ease. Without comprising on style and comfort, Doris also makes for an amazing comfortable maternity skirt!

SUGGESTED MATERIALS
Main fabric: Medium weight knits, summer sweat, interlock or french terry with at least 40% stretch (lycra or elastane).
Waistband, pocket and bottom band: rib knit or jersey lycra fabric  with at least 40% stretch (lycra or elastane).

MACHINES
Sewing machine / Serger. When using a sewing machine, use a knit stitch or small zigzag stitch in place of the serged seam. Finish the seams with a big zigzag stitch.
